Client Needs

• Because their existing system was not flexible or scalable enough and support was difficult to obtain, IMP was concerned about the impact to their customers.


• They had limited reporting tools that required constant data entry and manipulation.


• They also needed a web site where their inventory could be easily searched and RFQs submitted from the site. They wanted the site to integrate with a backend system, where RFQs created on the web site would be directly entered in to their system and quickly turned into a quote and sales order.


• IMP wanted to focus on growth and customer satisfaction and not the overhead of maintaining a software and hardware platform.

InfoWave Technologies’ Solutions

• InfoWave Technologies (IWT) alleviated their concerns by migrating them to CORtracker. CORtracker is web based software which means views and reports can be customized and it runs on a Microsoft SQL database which is limited only by hard drive size.


• CORtracker comes standard with over 20 different types of reports. All of which provide IMP and their consignment customers with the information they need.


• IWT designed and hosts their web site. CORweb was also integrated into their site and provides the inventory and RFQ tools that IMP requested. CORweb talks directly with CORtracker.


• IWT offers CORtracker in an ASP (Application Service Provider) model. IWT provides IMP their own secure and private CORtracker environment hosted at an IWT collocation facility where the maintenance, backups and security are taken care of by IWT. IMP simply opens up their browser and accesses their CORtracker environment over a SSL (Secure Socket Layer) connection, the same level of security that Internet credit card transactions are transmitted.
